EDUCATIONAL-SCIENTIFIC WORK

An educational-scientific process of the Institute of Innovative Technologies is the complete cycle of training of higher qualification personnel with the enhanced fundamental constituent of education for hi-tech branches of industry and science, namely

«student – bachelor – master's degree – post graduate student – candidate of sciences – doctor of sciences»

Basic ideology of the Institute is based on an idea, laid at Bolognese process fundamentals,

«education through the real scientific-research activity of a student under the supervision of experienced specialist of high qualification». Mastering of professional material by students takes place more effectively in the case when students have possibility to apply obtained skills simultaneously and parallel in the real, not educational, practice.

 The main form of training in INT is individual study of students provided their active participation in the valuable scientific work under scientific advisors.

Training of students at the Institute of Innovative Technologies: 

  • takes place according to their own desire as a result of the interview with a project supervisor, but also provided the successful studies on the basic educational curricula;
  • does not mean that the students are out of control from the dean's offices part and Majoring department part in all spheres of educational process on the basic educational curricula.
  • a student physically (and legally) remains in the academic group, taking part in the whole planned cycle of educational disciplines with the group;
  • occurs in the individual educational-scientific groups with not less than five and not more than ten persons in the group according to individual scientific program;
  • during academic year students take part in the research program (project) of a scientific group and as a result they should submit their scientific report at the end of each semester of an academic year;
  • the expulsion of a student from the Institute can happen both as a result of lack of successful results in study on his/her basic program and according to his/her individual scientific component, by the decision of the leadership of the Institute after the submission of the dean of a faculty or a project supervisor;
  • defence of bachelor’s and master's degree works, performed by students during the period of studies at the Institute is carried out after completing the proper terms of studies on the basic program in front of state examination commissions established at faculties under the general principles;
  • a student obtains a diploma of bachelor’s or master's degree according to positive public defence of bachelor’s and master's degree work;
  • a student of the Institute is the full-fledged member of a scientific seminar of a faculty, department or laboratories to which his/her scientific supervisor belongs;
  • participating in scientific seminars (faculty, department or laboratory) and scientific conferences is the obligatory component of scientific activity of students in INT, provided this scientific activity is planned by a scientific supervisor and a student for the current academic year;
  • preparation of materials for the publication in scientific journals, above all things in «Science-based technologies» and “Proceedings of the National Aviation University” is the obligatory component of scientific activities of students in INT;
  • master's degree work of student graduated from INT should be the completed scientific research work which represents basis of his/her qualifying work;
  • a student graduated from INT is awarded a scientific degree «candidate of sciences of the National Aviation University» provided successful public defence of a qualifying work;
  • a qualifying work of the student graduated from INT should become the basis of his/her future candidate's dissertation;
  • the educational cycle of a INT student includes, as an obligatory component, post graduate course.
